BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH with REFERENCES - Robert & Esther Fort
R. B. (Bob) Fort was raised in a wonderful Christian home. Both parents were Bible teachers and "family altar" was a twice-a-day event. This early instruction in the Bible and prayer accounts, no doubt, for his ability to enter into evangelistic ministry in 1963 at the age of 14. At age 15 he began travelling full-time throughout the United States, preaching and singing wherever doors were open, completing High School & Seminary courses by correspondence.
In the beginning he spoke mostly to youth at revivals, rallies, camps and conventions. Within a few years, however, a strong emphasis on the maturity of the believer began to emerge. By the time he married his lovely wife and ministry partner, Esther Faith, in 1967, he was conducting city-wide crusades preaching to believers of all ages who were both amazed and blessed by his depth and understanding of the Word.

In 1978, with two small school-aged children, the Forts accepted the pastorate of a small but growing church in Lynden, WA, which grew from an average attendance of 175 to 550 in less than three years. Then, in 1981, they planted a new church in Bellingham, WA which grew, within 15 years, from a small group of 23 believers to an average Sunday morning attendance of 2,700 with more than 250 small groups meeting weekly. Although the Forts no longer pastor "Christ The King" the church continued to grow and, in 2018, was included among the 25 largest churches in the United States.
